We have 10 cast iron rads, big pipes, 1740 sq ft home. I went with a mod con boiler/ 40 gal indirect water heater (didn't want a combi) and spent the first couple heating seasons dialing it in. The cast iron rads do just fine with low supply water temps. Other than making domestic hot water the boiler is always in the condensing range.
